Wendy Wilkins and Wesley Hill have worked as an exclusive collaboration since 2000. Both artists grew up in rural Australia (Grafton/Renmark) before meeting and working together at university. As Wilkins Hill they have exhibited extensively in Australia and around the world. They have also participated in numerous international artist-in-residence and exchange projects. In 2008 they worked on projects in Berlin, Germany with the New Zealand artist Michael Stevenson. In 2009 they completed a five month residency at the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris, France, completing a series of video works from the project “Poetry as a Foreign Language”. Wilkins Hill live and work between Paris and Berlin.

“Look at your physical world, your wealth. You are surrounded by people that you love and trust and people who love and trust you as well.”

“If there's anything that Wilkins Hill like to explore, it's the 'uncertainty principle'; for the range of installation works, photography, drawing and video they have produced demonstrates a fascination for indeterminacy and heterogeneity. Their work is about contemporary art's systemic, material and conceptual irresolution, its intractability, and its adamantine resistance to hermeneutical closure.” -- Dr. Mark Pennings
