Jean Villemin is an artist with works in FRAC (Alsace) and particular collections. Pierre Villemin teaches video at the Fine Art School of Metz. He develops a poetic and experimental writing on the last coal mine in Lorraine (France). During a residency in Berlin they developed a motion picture project called ‘Les Saisons’, since then they are working together.

Anticythère is a musing on a collective and annual celebration during the winter solstice. Bacchanales leads to rounds and races through the city before winter night. Villa Fidelia dives into the past of the memory of an event which goes on until today and from whom atoms again come to impress the whole landscape. La Carte Postale proceeds of the same narrative composition as the previous works. The poetics bases itself on the landscape and the illusion that between Latium and Minettland, in the Luxembourg, a symmetry would exist ! The geography so described is worth nothing because it is indeed about the other thing than the superimposing of image, it is about fate and about road. These 3 videos are extracted from the DVD "Villa Fidelia et autres mémoires" 6 videos realized by Pierre and Jean Villemin between 2002 and 2007

Le haricot bleu (2009) A colorblind person who want breaking the rules, going to the botanical garden and credit note friends were the conditions for the realization of the blue bean.

La maison des philosophes (2009) Paradoxical tale. Two brothers, two wise men, whose only purpose is to reach the peace which gets the knowledge of nothing.
